Dominique Thorne is making history as the first ever Black female lead in a Marvel series. Thorne will play the roll of Riri Williams, a brilliant teenage inventor from Chicago in the ‘Ironheart’ series on Disney+. In the comics, Williams is a teenage genius who builds her own version of the Iron Man suit in an MIT dorm.
Thorne is member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. where she graduated in 2019. A Brooklyn native, she made her acting debut in the 2018 Academy Award nominated film ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’.
